Deanna Eldridge Barnes, 60, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away December 4, 2018. She was born November 28, 1958 to Robert M. and Ila Faye Eldridge in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Deanna retired from American Fidelity Assurance Company with 30 years of service working as an Executive Assistant and the last 15 years as a Corporate Event Planner.

She enjoyed travels with her job to Monaco, Spain, France, Italy, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Canada, British Columbia; Alaskan and Mediterranean Cruises… Read More » and planned many events within the U.S. Deanna was a very organized person and loved to plan events. She loved God and her church. Deanna was a 1977 graduate of Carl Albert High School and was on the reunion committee and helped plan the class reunions for many years.

Growing up she loved her horses and loved to ride. Her favorite color was a dark blue with red being her second. Her granddaughter Kloei would say, “Nana’s favorite color is red because she likes to drive red cars!

” She was also an avid OU fan. Taking care of her family was very important to her. She was also very involved in her church activities over the years, handling the Golden Travelers organizing pot lucks and trips.

She and her husband Hal taught Children’s church and many Bible classes over the years for elementary aged children. Our mom was just a big kid herself. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Deanna is survived by her husband, Hal, of the home; her children, Karin and Matthias Knapp (MWC), Jeff and Jessica Barnes (MWC); her granddaughter and love of her life, Kloei Knapp.
