Obituary for Deanne ‘Dee’ Hanson Hanson, Deanne “Dee” On Dec. 14, 1939, Dee, was born to her parents Malvin and Ruth on the Nelson farm in rural Bricelyn, MN. She was 3 years old when they moved to the Jacobson farm where she lived with her parents and sisters, Janet and Karen.

Her baptism was on Feb. 4th, 1940 at South Blue Earth Church where she was also confirmed and married. She attended Bricelyn public school and MSU.

On June 11, 1960 Dee married Dave Hanson and they moved to Golden Valley and they joined Calvary Lutheran Church. They where blessed with 3 children, Mark Lewis, Kristen Marie, and Mary Deanne; 6 grandchildren, Kali, Kara, Kaelyn, Ali, Hannah and Ben. Dee loved children and her time spent teaching elementary school, Calvary Pre-K and Sunday school.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, volunteering activities, gardening, walking, quilting, cooking and the cabin. Her earthly life ended on Oct. 7, 2018.

She is survived by son, Mark (Lisa); daughters, Kris (Gregg) Schreiner and Mary (Marc) Schultz; grandchildren, Kali (Nick), Kara, Kaelyn, Ali, Hannah and Ben; sisters, Janet (Jack) Peterson, Karen (Vern) Owens; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were husband, Dave and her parents. Memorial service Friday 10/12/2018 at 11am at Calvary Lutheran Church of Golden Valley, 7520 Golden Valley Rd, Golden Valley.

Visitation 1 1/2 hours prior to service at church.
