Age 59, of Lucasville, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. She was born February 16, 1959 to the late Dave and Ruth (Stone) Metzler of New Boston. Debbie graduated from Glenwood High School in 1977 as Valedictorian of her class.

After high school she attended Shawnee State University and graduated with a degree in accounting. She worked at Wolfe’s Clothing for a short time and then spent over 30 years working as an accountant at AAA in Portsmouth. Debbie enjoyed collecting Fenton glass, anything purple, watching General Hospital and Days of Our Lives, the casino slots, and loved more than anything her beloved cats.

She is survived by her sisters, Angela (Wayne) Henson of New Boston, Jennifer (Glenn) Sherrick of Medina, and Elaine Shump of Portsmouth; brother, Dale (Kim) Fyffe of Elyria. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil ton and a sister, Sue Fyffe Shuman. Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Jack Williams officiating.
