Deborah Beatrice Carletti, 61, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019. Debbie was born on September 5, 1957, raised in Claymont, where she graduated from Claymont High School. Debbie was employed with Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children for over 20 years, until recently when she stopped working to care for her husband Jim.

Debbie and Jim got married in 1978. Debbie was a loving and proud mother to her two sons, Jace and Chad, and her most recent joy in life was her grandson Cameron. Throughout the years she enjoyed her family vacations to the Poconos, pool days at Del Vets, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

She will always be remembered for her laughter and her sense of humor. Debbie is survived by her husband of 40 years, James Carletti; her son, Jace Carletti (Mandi); her grandson’s mom, May Chen; her brothers, Carl and Raymond Cromer; her grandson, Cameron Carletti; and several nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 10am-12pm at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, where a Memorial Service will begin at 12pm.

Following will be Deborah’s Celebration of Life for close friends and family. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the college fund of her grandson, Cameron Carletti (for account information please contact the Carletti family).
