Obituary for Debra Ann Mac Laren Debra “Deb” Mac Laren passed peacefully on January 17th, 2019 in Tucson, Arizona. She was a loving, caring, and devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend to absolutely all. She lived her life with such joy and compassion, it was impossible to not be infected by her warmth.

Her radiant smile and quick wit will live in our hearts forever. Her life is mourned and celebrated by all that had the honor of knowing and loving her. The world was a brighter place with her in it and she will continue to shine on us all forever.

Deb was born on January 3rd, 1957 in New London, Connecticut as the first of six children. After moving to Tucson, Arizona in 1979, she quickly found a home and her place in the desert. She graduated from Pima Community College in 1988 with a degree in Interior Design.

She was able to make every room she entered more beautiful just by being in it. While in Tucson, she devoted her life to raising her two daughters and building an extensive group of friends in each place she worked and visited. Her connection to everyone she met often spanned decades.

From her beginnings at TMC to her final career at Spectrum, she was a dedicated employee and an invaluable friend to everyone. Deb loved spending time on the beach and being with those she loved. Her life had an ever evolving soundtrack and her love of music will continue to fill us all will joy and lasting memories.

Deb is survived by her mother Patricia; her siblings: Dave, Dina, Chris, and Lisa; her children Heather and Tivona; and her grandchildren: Alyssa, Ireland, Abigail, and Ryan. She has a large extended family and an even larger circle or friends that continued to surround her for her entire life. She loved and cared for us with all her heart.

Deb was proceeded in death by her grandparents, her aunts, her dad Hans, her brother “Mac”, and brother-in-law “Jimmy”. There will be a celebration of Debra’s life to occur on her adopted birthday of March 17th, 2019. Details will be provided at a later date.
