OBITUARY Deidra Diane Burson May 25, 1947 – November 26, 2018 Deidra Diane (Dee Dee) Burson, age 71, recently passed away in Carrolton, Texas after a lengthy illness. Dee Dee was born in Greenville, South Carolina into an Air Force family. After many assignments, including several years in Japan , she landed at Barksdale Air Force base in Bossier City, Louisiana.

After graduating from Bossier High School, she enrolled at Louisiana Tech University. It was there she met her soon to be husband, Tom Burson. Dee Dee taught elementary education for many years, including sixteen years at All Saints Episcopal School in Austin, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Clara and Claude Cummins. Dee Dee is survived by her husband of 49 years, Tom Burson, her son Bryon Burson and his wife Melissa, her daughter Lindsay Wiggains and her husband Justin, and grand-daughter Laighton Wiggains. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home 6300 W. William Cannon Dr. Austin, Texas 78749.
