Deidre A. Beard July 12, 1960 – April 23, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card Deidre Antoinette Beard was born on July 12, 1960 to Clytia Mae Beard and Edmund Murray in Kansas City, Missouri. She departed this life on April 23, 2019. Dede, as she was affectionately called, was preceded in death by her mother, father, step-father Norman C. “Shotgun” Smith, and her brother, Fredrick “Batman” Beard.

Dede attended elementary school at W.W. Yates Elementary School, Lynnwood Elementary, C.A. Franklin and Central Junior High School. She also attended Southeast High School and graduated from East High School in 1979. She was a longtime employee at Gates Bar-B-Que.

She was also employed at Trinity Lutheran Hospital and Park Lane Medical Center. Dede had a special relationship with all her nieces and nephews. She was ever present with cookies, candy and treats.

Dede leaves to cherish her memory, her twin brother Duane “T-Bone” Beard Sr. (Teresa), Willard “Rikki” Beard Sr. (Catherine) and Andre Beard; and sisters Lynn “Mikki” Beard and Marilyn Smith all of Kansas City, Missouri. To carry on her memory, she leaves 21 nieces and nephews; a host of great nieces and nephews and great-great nephews.
