LaVerne R. Rien on July 9, 1943. Her uncle Rev. I.E. Kottke officiated the ceremony.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LaVerne Rien; son, Rolland Rien; parents, Ben and Ella Kottke; many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her two daughters, Rachel Tripp, Ginnie Rien (Edwin Broneske); granddaughters, Renee (Herb) Howard, Barb (Troy) Widmyer, Cindy (Gary) Ware, and Karen Keller; 9 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Rev. Myron (Doris) Kottke; sister, Francille Kremer; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Memorial preferred to the American Heart or Alzheimer’s Associations. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
