Deloris L. VanOchten, age 88 years, went to heaven to join her husband James on Saturday, December 1, 2018 with her family by her side at McLaren Bay Region. She was born April 4, 1930 to the late Solomon and Marie (Vos) Stagray in Esville where she has resided all her life. She and her husband, Jim farmed their Hampton Township land for their whole lifetime before he passed away on January 28, 2002.

She enjoyed canning for her family and volunteered for many years making quilts at Bay County Medical Care Facility and cooking for funeral luncheons at St. John Church. Left to cherish her memories are her children: Bonnie Atkins and fiancé Dennis Chwala, Nancy (Carl) Holubowicz, Rickie (Lori) VanOchten, Jay VanOchten and fiancée, Debbie Gruehn, Scott (Dawn) VanOchten; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Harold (Rita) Stagray, Shirley (Richard) Belski, Arlene (Chuck) Carlson, Gerald (Donna) Stagray, Theola VanOchten; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Larry Atkins; brothers, Elmer, Harold and Melvin Stagray; and sisters: Madeline Tackman and Elaine Sochacki; special friend, Thomas Moffett. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 10:00 am at the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel. Rev.

Dale A. Orlik will preside and interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Memorials contributions may be designated for the Wishes of the Family. Visiting with the family will be Monday from 2:00 until 8:00 pm; and Tuesday after 9:00 am at the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel.
