Demona “Mona” Ruth Hyde April 30, 1945 – February 04, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Demona Ruth Hyde passed away peacefully at home on February 4th, 2019. She was 73 years old. Demona was born April 30th, 1945 in Houston, TX to her parents Edward and Mae Wurz.

She attended South Houston H.S. in the Pasadena ISD but graduated from Incarnate Word Academy in downtown Houston. She is survived by her husband Danny, her sister, Ginger Marshall and husband Jerry of Fayetteville, TX, her sister Eddie Jean Billings of Langtry, TX, her son Eddie Langston of League City, TX, daughter Sissy Owen and husband Kenny of Montgomery, TX, and stepson Jeff Hyde of Athens, GA. Her grandkids are Cody (Pete) Owen, Eric Langston, Russell Langston, Lyndsie Owen and Kylie Owen, and great-granddaughter, Saddie Owen.

She and her husband Danny loved to travel in their RV trailers. They traveled to every state in the U.S. except Hawaii and to every Province and Territory in Canada in their 35 years of travel. In addition to that, they went on two month long trips in a couple of cars leased in Scotland and France and drove themselves around and visited England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, France, Spain, Portugal, Tangiers, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic.

Mona would still be traveling today if her health had not failed her. Mona loved the little town of Mason and the friendly folks in it. Coming from the big city of Houston it was quite a change.
