Dennis was born on March 12, 1952, in Milwaukee, WI, son of Albert and Lillian (Hagen) Etzler. In 1969, he graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee.

Dennis managed the Chalet Restaurant in Milwaukee for over 20 years. In 1994, he moved to Marquette enjoying the outdoors, hunting and fishing with family and friends. Dennis is survived by his brother, Daryl (Colleen) Etzler of Menomonee Falls; niece, Natalie Etzler; nephews, Joel (Melissa) Etzler and Clayton (Lindsey) Etzler; great nieces and nephews, Farrah Etzler, Oliver Etzler, Evan Etzler, Caleb Etzler and Owen Etzler due in May; close friends, John (Connie) Hynnek, Annie Wilde and Roger Swanke; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and k-9 companion, Beau in 2011. No services will take place. Markesan Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.
