OBITUARY Dennis Downey July 30, 1949 – January 9, 2019 Dennis R. Downey, age 69, passed away on January 9, 2019, at his home in Jackson, MO. He served on the Alton, IL police department for 16 years as an officer and served for four years as the Chief of Police for Alton, IL. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.

He was born July 30, 1949 in Eldorado, IL. Survivors include: one brother, Ron Downey of Godfrey, IL. ; and one sister, Susan Downey of IL.
