Dennis J. Mickelson, 63 of DeWitt, Iowa, died Tuesday morning, May 14, 2019, at home. He was born June 24, 1955, in DeWitt to Clayton and Gladys (Kaufman) Mickelson. Dennis was a 1973 graduate of Central Community Schools, DeWitt.

He worked as a welder at John Deere-Davenport Works for 36 years, retiring in 2010. Dennis had a great love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was generous to a fault.

Dennis expected nothing in return. Surviving are daughters, Sarah Milton of Rock Island, Illinois, and Lisa (Justin) Molumby; grandchildren, Jade Booth and twin grandsons, Clayton and Carson Molumby; his twin brother, Jerry (Tammy) Mickelson of DeWitt; a niece, Andrea (Zach) Beuthien of DeWitt. Preceding Dennis in death were his parents.

The family will receive friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019. A Service of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2019, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.
