Dennis married Vickie Sullivan on September 25, 1980. Survivors include: His wife: Vickie Smithson of Kennett, Missouri His mother: Peggy Smithson of Kennett, Missouri One brother: Ted Smithson of Kennett, Missouri Five nieces and nephews: Brooke Horton of Kennett, Missouri Seth McDonald of Jonesboro, Arkansas Wesley McDonald of Huntsville, Alabama Seth Hill of Maynard, Arkansas Ashley Cagle of Pocahontas, Arkansas Three great nephews and one great niece Other relatives and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by one sister: Diane McDonald. Dennis was of Kennett, Missouri and passed away at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Dennis was Owner and Operator of Smithson’s Disposal Service in Kennett, Missouri and a member of Slicer Street Church of Christ in Kennett, Missouri.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, May 17, 2019 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Slicer Street Church of Christ in Kennett, Missouri. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Doniphan, Missouri.

Memorials may be made to the Crowleys Ridge Children’s Home. McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett, Missouri will be in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.
