Born in Jersey City, Dennis was a resident of Carteret for 46 years and was a member of the Teamsters Local #807 for 37 years. Mr. Thompson was an avid sportsman and was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dennis was predeceased by his wife in 2011, Tommie Lou. Surviving are his children, Dennis Thompson, Kevin Thompson and his wife Allyson, TJ Thompson and his wife Jennifer, Donna Ware; grandchildren, Natalie, DJ, Melanie, Kevin, Nicolette, Louis, Dominic, Dominique; great grandchildren, Arianna-Lynn and Camilla as well as his sister, Florence Grant. A viewing will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 5pm to 8pm at CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 625 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading.
