Derek studied at L.A. Trade Tech to become an electrician. He enjoyed his work as an electrician, but his real passion was cooking. He is survived by his wife, Terani Efferson-Muckleroy of Richardson, TX; son, Derek Castille Muckleroy of Round Rock, TX; brother, Robert Muckleroy, Jr. of Inglewood, CA; sisters, Aaren Muckleroy of Inglewood, CA, and Robyn Johnson of San Francisco, CA; and mother, Sophie Muckleroy of Inglewood, CA.
