OBITUARY Diana R. Snider November 20, 1953 – January 30, 2019 Diana R. Snider, 65, of Rockford, IL passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 20, 1953 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of James H. Justice, Jr. and Nellie Hinds. Diana was raised by her mother and adopted father, Ronald Bird.

She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Saint Anthony Medical Center until retiring in 2005. Diana enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandson.

Diana is loved and missed by her son, Steven (Ada Rivas) Snider; grandson, Landon Snider; and a grandchild on the way; brother, Robert “Bobby” Bird; sister, Jamie Justice Lemon; brothers, Ed Hartman, and Danny Hartman. She is preceded in death by her fathers, James H. Justice, Jr., and Ronald Bird; her mother, Nellie Bird; brother, James Justice III, and Mark Bird. A visitation will be held at 4:00-6:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. Burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2019.
