Diane C. Wrightsman age 81, of Upper Sandusky, died on Sunday March 17, 2019 at Westbrook Assisted Living. Diane was born to the late Edwin and Thelma (Ulrich) Witzel on January 9, 1938. She married Joseph R. Wrightsman in 1958 and he preceded her in death on September 2, 2016.
She is survived by her son Rick Wrightsman, Upper Sandusky, her daughter Carol “Bitsey” (Tom) Morehart, Upper Sandusky, 3 grandchildren, Gretchen, Adam and Jacob, 2 great grandchildren Hayden and Charlie Cade, and her brother John Witzel, Columbus. She was a graduate of Upper Sandusky High School. She was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and served on the Upper Sandusky City Council.
She and her husband Joe owned and operated Joe’s Marathon & Plaza Alignment. Diane retired as a beautician and was an Upper Sandusky meter reader in the down town area, as well as a dispatcher for the Upper Sandusky Police Department. A private burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery.
