McCabe, Diane E. On November 12, 2018, Diane Ercole McCabe, beloved daughter of the late Louis J. Ercole and Edelweiss Ercole (nee: Morotti). Devoted sister of the late James L. Ercole. Beloved mother of Jennifer A. McCabe and her husband, Frank Diller.

Dear grandmother of Chloe and Paige Diller. Longtime employee of Finney Trimble Surgical Associates at GBMC, most recently Senior Medical Secretary. Alumnus of Overlea High School (’68) and Western Maryland College (’72).

After a career as vocational rehabilitation social worker, Diane devoted years to raising her daughter. She started part-time at Finney Trimble in 1983, moving to a full-time position a few years later. Diane took great pride in her work, her colleagues, and the surgeons in the practice.

She was a dedicated, hard-working employee for 35 years. Diane loved all her family and friends, and wanted them to know she had a wonderful life. She was a people person, outgoing and friendly – her presence lit up the room.

She adored her grandchildren, and found so much joy in spending time with them. Diane also enjoyed simple pleasures in life: crossword puzzles, coffee, music, television, movies, and books. She loved live theater, and was a regular at Hippodrome shows in recent years.

Visitation Thursday, November 15, 2018, 3 p.m. for family; 4 to 7 p.m. for the public at the Cvach-Rosedale Funeral Home, 1211 Chesaco Ave. Funeral services at the Cvach-Rosedale Funeral Home on Friday, November 16, 2018 10:30 am. .
