Diane Whitaker May 4, 1957 – January 8, 2019 Martha Diane Whitaker, age 61, formerly of Camden Court, died Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Atrium Health Cleveland. Born in Forsyth County on May 4, 1957 she was the daughter of the late Fred Whitaker Jr and Ann Dixon Whitaker. Diane was a 1976 graduate of Burns High School.

She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. Diane enjoyed reading and crocheting. Diane is survived by a sister, Amanda Whitaker Mauney of Shelby; a nephew, Ben Mauney of Cumming Ga; two nieces, Lucy Mauney Coombs of Angier and Courtney Mauney Bittner of Austin TX,; Great nephew, Beau Coombs of Angier; and her beloved cat, “Spunky”.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 am at Ross Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Marcus McGill officiating. Reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall.
