Dionisio “Dennis” Velasquez Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend went to be with the lord on May 24, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones. Dennis was born in Blanco, New Mexico September 19, 1939, the son of Jose and Estephania Velasquez. Dennis married the love of his life Dorothy Mary Maez on June 21, 1958 in Blanco, New Mexico.

They were married 61 loving years. Dennis resided in Magna, Utah for 45 years till him and Dorothy built a house in West Valley City, Utah where he passed away. Dennis was very passionate about God, family, horses, team penning, hunting, and camping.

But he was most passionate about serving the Lord. He had so much love for everyone who entered his life. In addition to his loving wife Dorothy, Dennis is survived by his children, Randy Velasquez, Jeff (Kris) Velasquez, Tammy (Shane) Spencer, Doreen (David) Corbet; grandchildren, Nicole (Eddie) Goble, Brandy Velasquez, Rocky Montoya, Dennis (Becki) Velasquez, Lexi Spencer; great-grandchildren, James, Jeremy, Maikaili, Gaige, Makenzi, Acelynn, Essynce, Hoyt; sisters, Bernie Valarde, Rose Gutierrez, Eginia “Jenny” Sisneros; and brother Martin Velasquez Proceeded in death by his parents Jose and Estaphinia Velasquez; Brothers Manuel Velasquez and Jose Ramon Velasquez; sister Millie Villalpando.

Services will be held June 1, 2019 at Peels Funeral Home 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, Utah 84044. Viewing will be 11:00 – 11:45 am, Services 12:00 pm.
