Obituary for Mrs. Dolores M. Fagerlie Dolores (Dee) Mae Larson Fagerlie was born during a snowstorm on December 3, 1927 and passed away quietly on August 23, 2018, at the age of 90. She is preceded in death by her parents, Esther and Ervin L. Larson of Dawson, MN. She is survived by her greatly loved husband of 70 years, Kenneth Fagerlie; son David (Yaovapa Ratanasopa) Fagerlie, daughters Leanne (John) Sponsel and Kristin (James) Dery; grandchildren Thanan Ratanasopa, Jacob (Courtney) Sponsel, Maggie Sponsel, Joshua (Jaime) Dery, Monica Dery; and great-grandchildren Benjamin Sponsel and Katherine and Jackson Dery, a brother Pastor Lowell Larson, and many extended family members.

Dee loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She left college after two years to be married and help raise a family. During that time, she volunteered in church, school, Girl Scouts, and various charitable organizations.

After twenty years, she returned to college to complete her Bachelor and Master Degrees and taught for eighteen years. In retirement, Dee and Ken lived in Florida. They enjoyed golf, bridge, travel, theater, and their church.

Dee continued her volunteer work with the Literacy Volunteers of America, the Early Learning Coalition of SW Florida, and at area schools. She is now singing in the angel choir, reading books to the angel children, and indulging in Haagen Dazs ice cream, dark chocolate and red wine. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the chapel at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1200 Marquette Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55403.
