OBITUARY Dolores Quevedo Jones July 9, 1938 – January 8, 2019 Play Tribute Movie Dolores Quevedo Cortez Jones, 80, of Richardson, passed away on January 8, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on July 9, 1938 in Dallas to Chon and Tomasa Quevedo. Married to Bailey Jones Jr. for 38 years & Alfonso Cortez Jr. for 20, Dolores was a fun-loving and dedicated mother, wife and friend.

Everyone who knew her loved and admired her sunny smile & joy for life. She faced adversity many times, but with humor and resilience she persevered. In later years, she enjoyed traveling, crafting, reading and just observing the beauty of nature outside of her house in Richardson.

Dolores is survived by Rebecca Cortez Zwillenberg & Peter Zwillenberg of Bellevue, WA, Constance Cortez of McAllen, TX, Al & Cindy Cortez of Euless, TX, Hank Jones & Caleb Huntsberry of El Lago, TX, Becky & JP Lynch of Santo, TX, Pam Bennet of Bonham, TX, Chrissy & Sean Cortez-Mathis of Richardson, TX and her three grandchildren, Rachel Zwillenberg, Chase Cortez and Bransen Cortez. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bailey Jones, her parents, Tomasa and Albert Flores as well as Chon Quevedo Sr. and her first husband, Alfonso Cortez Jr. The family will be accepting guests at Sparkman Funeral Home of Richardson at 3:00pm on Saturday, July 19, 2019, with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 4:00pm. A private interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
