DOLORES R. (nee BOYCE) McDONALD, of Bonita Springs, FL passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018. She was 77 years of age. She was born in Darby, PA and attended West Catholic Girls High.

She resided in Bonita Springs, FL since 2000 and spent summers in Cape May, NJ. She was formerly of Morrell Park in Philadelphia, PA. She is the beloved wife of Anthony T. McDonald, who she celebrated 56 years of marriage with in June, 2018.

She was the loving mother of Dolores (Dee) M. Kazokas and her husband David of Southampton, NJ, Anthony T. McDonald Jr. of Philadelphia, PA and Kelly Anne Plocharski and her husband Henry of Medford, NJ. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren Casey McDonald, Tyler McDonald, Kevin Plocharski, Connor McDonald, Colleen Kazokas, Amanda Plocharski and Caitlin Kazokas. She is the daughter of the late Jacob P. Boyce II and Theodoris (Doris) Flounders.

She was raised by her second mother Elizabeth Boyce (nee Reilly) after her birth mother died at a young age. She is the sister of the late Jacob P. Boyce III and Betty Evans. She is also survived by her sisters Kathryn Amador (nee Evans) of Henderson, NV, Bette Bonaventure (nee Flounders) of Mantua, NJ and Mary Mack (nee Boyce) of Bala Cynwyd, PA.

Dolores was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially loved the shore and spent childhood summers at Cape May, NJ. She was a former Miss Cape May Point of 1957.

Her love for the shore continued as she spent summers with her children and grandchildren in Sea Isle City, Anglesea, and Cape May, NJ. She loved to attend her children and grandchildren’s sport games – always their cheerleader. Early in her life she loved to crochet/sew and made amazing afghans and Easter outfits for her daughters.

She was an amazing Girl Scout cookie mom, loved bowling and was an avid reader who loved Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Later in life she cherished her time at Highland Woods, in Bonita Springs, where she played Bocce Ball and Mahjongg with all of her wonderful friends. Lastly, she was excited to learn that her ancestry line traced back to the establishment of Darby, PA via the Bonsall line who arrived 1682.

Her grandfather lineage line fought in every war, for the United States, starting with the Revolutionary war. In her professional career, her first job was at ASTM in Philadelphia, PA. Later in life, she worked at IRS during tax season and then in the Visa/ Loan department for Bell Telephone Credit Union (formerly TELCO) until 1995.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, Medford, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd. , Medford, NJ 08055.
