OBITUARY Don W. Boettcher February 22, 1955 – October 18, 2018 Donald William Boettcher was born February 22, 1955 on a United States military base in Ft. Hood, Texas to Donald and Alounda Boettcher. He was the oldest of six children.

Don passed away peacefully in his Paris, Michigan home with his wife and family by his side on Thursday October 18, 2018 at the age of 63. Don was under the gentle care of Great Lakes Home Hospice after a long battle with lung cancer. Don was the beloved husband of Deborah Boettcher.

Loving son of Donald and Alounda Boettcher. Dear brother of Donna (Jim) Polen, the late Allen Boettcher, Alice Schmitt, Michael Boettcher and Mark (Inge) Boettcher. Don will also be miss by many nieces and nephews; as well as his two loyal companions, “Critter” and “Creature” who were Don’s American Bull Dogs.

Don was a true American Patriot. He was a spokesperson for the “Intelligence Report” where he was known as “Yankee D” and his online followers spanned across the globe. Don loved animals and writing poetry.

He also had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles. Don was a member of the Road Agents Motorcycle Club, Detroit, Michigan. He was a kind and gentle soul who will be missed by all who knew him.

Don’s family will receive friends for a Visitation on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 25450 Plymouth Road, Redford Township, Michigan 48239. (Just east of Beech Daly) Open eulogies by family and friends will be led by Don’s youngest brother Mark on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the funeral home followed by a procession to Parkview Memorial Cemetery where Don will be laid to rest. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared in the guestbook for the Boettcher family.
