Obituary for Donald Allen Harrison Donald Allen Harrison, 79, of North Huntingdon, died Saturday, June 9, 2018 at home. He was born July 30, 1938 in Greensburg, a son of the late Charles and Edna (Bowser) Harrison and was also preceded in death by his daughter Kelly Ann Bollman, siblings Edith Margaret “Peggy” Wilson, Marilyn G. “Susie” Armor, James, Thomas “Tucker”, and William Harrison; and a step grandson James McFadden. Don was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Larimer, where he served as a Deacon, Elder, and President of the Congregation.

He was formerly active with the Norwin Colorguard, and Boy Scouts of America, which awarded him with the Silver Beaver Award. Don was a Norwin Football season ticket holder for 54 years, enjoyed history especially the Civil War, and was an airplane buff visiting aviation museums especially the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton, OH. Don was a graduate of North Huntingdon High School, Penn Technical Institute and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and served in the Army National Guard.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Connie L. (Garman) Harrison; his son James A. (Beth) Harrison of Irwin; his son in law Robert Bollman of Irwin; grandchildren Chelsea (Justin) Arenas, Chandler Bollman, and Allen Harrison; step grandchildren Carrie and Johnathan McFadden; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Brownstown Rd.

, Larimer, PA 15147, with Rev. Judith Tobias, officiating. Everyone please meet at the church.

Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. The family would like to thank Excela Health Hospice especially nurses and aides, Chrissy, Sarah, Pat, Melanie, Becky, and Nancy. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to Don’s church.
