Obituary for Donald Arthur Beaudry Donald A. Beaudry, 87 of Northport passed away peacefully Saturday September 1, 2018 at his home. Don was born on August 19, 1931 in Baltimore MD to the late Arthur and Ina Beaudry. He graduated from Hillsdale College in 1954.

After college Don was drafted into the Army in the Fall of 1954. After spending eight months in at Fort McClellan he received orders to report to Heyford England. He remained in England for 10 months as the company clerk of the 98th Chemical Co. During this time he traveled Europe when ever he had Leave.

Don returned home from the Army in 1954 and started working with his dad at Beaudry Heating in Flint. After the death of his father he took ownership of the family business until 1991 when he and his wife retired to Northport. Don married Kathleen (Kay) Pomeroy of Birmingham in 1958, at the First Baptist Church in Birmingham.

Don and Kay moved to Flint to begin their new life together. Don’s passion for service crossed into every aspect of his long life. An active volunteer, he served his community through Trinity Church, volunteering at local events.

Don’s love for people and his gentle, caring soul made him a leader in his community. Don exemplified the highest level of forgiveness and gratitude. Through out his life, Don shared an enthusiasm and love for many things, which he passed on to his children and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Sailing, photography and traveling with his wife Kay helped fill Don’s life with precious memories and enriching experiences for which most people long for. He was drawn to the beauty of nature and fascinated by life’s beauty including beach stones, driftwood and gentle breezes from his porch. Don is survived by his two children, daughter Kathy Haynes(Mike) son Kirk Beaudry, Granddaughter Ashton Beaudry and two great grandsons, Jaxson and Joel.

Don lost the love of his life Kay on May 8th 2018. On September 6th will be their 60th wedding anniversary. He was also preceded in death by his only brother Rob Beaudry in 1991.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 15, 2018 at noon with visitation beginning at 11am, at Trinity Church in Northport.
