Donald’s Obituary Donald D. Holtcamp, 86, of Concordia, MO, died Sunday, May 5, 2019, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2019, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia, with Rev. Michael Pottschmidt officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Burial with military rites will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to family choice.

Friends may sign the online register book at www. campbell-lewis.com Born January 4, 1933, in Aullville, MO, he was the son of the late Charley Holtcamp and Hulda Winter Holtcamp. He lived in Concordia most of his life and was a graduate of Concordia High School.

On June 16, 1956, he married Lois Fangmann who preceded him in death on May 9, 2016. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post 258. He worked in the plumbing and heating business for many years.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Concordia Lions Club, Concordia Civic Club and had served on the Concordia Fair Board for 10 to 12 years. He had served on the fire department for 13 years, three of those years on the ambulance department; city alderman for 20 consecutive years; and as mayor for six years from 2010 to 2016. He also served as a scoutmaster for eight years.

Donald loved his community and served it well. Survivors include four children, Pamela Holtcamp Bruns of Concordia, Rick Holtcamp (Terri) of Blue Springs, MO, Theresa Frerking (Steve) of Woodstock, GA and Christy Frerking (Steve) of Concordia; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Donald was preceded in death by one brother, J.C. Holtcamp; and one sister, Donna Langkraehr.
