Donald DeWayne Owens Sr., 70, of Colorado Springs went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 21, 2018. Don was born on March 10, 1948, in Stratton, Nebraska to Samuel A. Owens and Maudie May (Weekley) Owens. He was a dog lover and his love for his family was evident in every decision he made.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel A. Owens and May Owens: his brothers, Jim Owens and Marvin (Leona) Owens and his sister Marjorie Koetter. Donald is survived by his wife Sherry (Brand) Owens; his son Donald (Jodie) Owens and daughter Mandy Rawson of Pueblo West; grandchildren, Tim Owens, Anthony (Zoe) Owens, Ty (Hailey) Owens, Haylee Owens and Braxton Rawson; great-grandchildren, Kinslee, Cooper, Kenneth, Jaycee Owens; brother, Maynard (Doris) Owens and sister, Carolyn (Bill) Beitler. A Celebration of Life will be held at Harwood Chapel, 516 N. 10th Str.
