Donald E. Wright, 87, of Gallipolis, died Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Abbyshire Place. He was born April 30, 1931 in Gallia County, son of the late Eugene Dana Wright Sr. and Lena Mae Cox Wright. Donald was a photographer for the Gallipolis Tribune.

He was a Sgt. in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of VFW Post 4464, American Legion #27 where he was a former chaplain, and DAV, AmVets.

Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Cox Wright; his children, Donald Ray… Read More » (Linda) Wright, Floyd Eugene (Joy) Wright, Terri Lynn Wright (Paul Morgan), Cherri Annamae King, all of Gallipolis and John Edward (Bridget) Wright of Gallipolis Ferry, WV; many surviving grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Wright; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers. Services will be Monday, November 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Nazarene Church with Pastor Doug Downs officiating.

Burial will follow in Pine Street Cemetery. Friends may call from 12-1:00 p.m. at the church prior to the funeral. Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
