Donald G. Jones January 20, 1935 – December 16, 2018 Donald G. Jones passed away Sunday, December 16, at Spanish Cove Retirement Village, Yukon, OK. Born in Lyons, KS, to Glynn and Nettie McCrory Jones, he graduated from Chickasha High School, and the University of OK with a BFA in information design. In 1968 he married Juanita Meek in OKC where they made their home until 2015 when they moved to Spanish Cove Retirement Village.

He retired from the FAA Aeronautical Center as an illustrator. He was also a fine arts painter in acrylics where he was in many major juried exhibitions in the US, including The Butler Institute of American Art; The Allied Artists of America; The Audubon Artist, Inc. (elected member); The National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic (elected member); The Society of Illustrators Annual; Watercolor USA (member); & the Rocky Mountain National (member). He was published in The Best of Acrylic Painting and The Illustrators 29.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Richard Wesley, Yellville, AR and brother-in-law, Steve Meek, Weatherford, OK. He is survived by his wife, Juanita of the home; sister, Barbara Wesley, Yellville, AR; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Zelta and Kenneth Bennett, El Reno, OK; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold and Kathy Meek, San Marcos, CA; sister-in-law, Margaret Meek, Coppell, TX; and several dear nieces and nephews and great nieces and Born: January 20, 1935 nephews. Death: December 16, 2018 Viewing and visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, with Graveside Services to follow at 11:30 a.m., at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK.
