Donald H. Wichman, age 85, of Neenah, passed away December 6, 2018. He was born January 3, 1933, son of the late Henry and Laniece (Evans) Wichman. Donald married the love of his life, Barbara Schommer on November 10, 1956.

He devotedly cared for her until she preceded him in death October 13, 2014. They had been married for so long, yet they still acted like newlyweds. Donald proudly served his country as a US Marine, and was stationed in Korea for 14 months.

He lovingly built his cottage with his family in Oconto County 50 years ago. Donald had a great passion for yard work and maintenance. He also took pride in being a grandfather.

Donald is survived by his daughter: Pamela McCluskey; four sons: Peter (Laurie), Joseph, Tim (Rose), Steve (Heather) Wichman; nine grandchildren: Elizabeth (Patrick) Kirby, Andrew McCluskey, Sarah McCluskey, Donny (Amy) Wichman, Justin (Donna) Wichman, Ricky (Molly) Anderson, Shaina (Erik) Craddock, Tina (Matt) Whiting, Deanna Wichman; seven great grand children: Mikayla Lindner, Taylor Wichman, Kylie Wichman, Aubrie Whiting, Courtney Craddock, Kalvin Craddock, Caleb Wichman; former daughter-in-law: Tracy Wichman; two sisters: Mary (Joe) Nemecheck, Pat (Jim) Van Oss; two brothers: Mike (Judy), Henry “Skip” (Jean) Wichman; sisters-in-law: Bev Wichman, Suzy (Gary) Greenman; and brother-in-law, Jim (Lynn) Schommer. He is further preceded in death by his granddaughter, April Ann Wichman; brothers: Eugene and Evan “Bud” Wichman; and infant siblings, Judith Ann and Edward Anthony. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at St Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St, Neenah, with Fr.

Larry Seidl officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.

The Wichman family would like to extend a special thank you to ThedaClark ER and Rennes Health and Rehab Center of Appleton, for the compassionate care given to Donald.
