Mr. Donald (Don) Leon Johnson, passed away at age 80 on August 26, 2018 in Foxfire Village, North Carolina. He was born on November 12, 1937 in Johnston County, North Carolina, to the late Douglas Ray Johnson and Lessie Loraine (Barber) Johnson. Don was a brick mason for 45 years but his passion was serving the Lord, especially in the area of sharing the Gospel through internet outreach.

Don was the loving husband of Peggy Jane (Montague) Johnson. He is survived by his sons, Donald L. Johnson, Jr. (Diana) and Steven L. Johnson (Shelly) ; and daughters, Laurie J. McKinnon (Ronald) and Mary J. Kennedy (Joel). He is also survived by four brothers, Douglas R. Johnson of Carthage, NC, James Johnson of Lake City, FL, Dan Johnson of Foxfire Village, NC, and Carl Johnson of Carthage, NC; ten grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Friends and family can pay their respects at the Celebration of Life service on Sunday, September 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Bible Tabernacle Church, 7612 NC Highway 22, Carthage, North Carolina, 28327.
