Donald was a graduate of Brighton High School Class of 1974. He was a Sergeant in the Air Force and was known as Dr. D at WKBL in Covington.

He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Grier; son, Elliot Grier; granddaughters, Lovely and Blessing; mother, Minerva Pugh; sisters, Teresa Harris and Audrey Tyler; brothers, Robert Whitley, Jeffery Pugh, Timothy Pugh and John Pugh.
