Donald Skinner April 28, 2019 A memorial service for Donald G. Skinner is scheduled for 2:00pm, Thursday, May2, 2019 at the Rice Funeral Service Chapel in Claremore. Donald G. Skinner, the son of Ira and Pauline Skinner died at home, Sunday, April 28th after a long illness with his family by his side. Don was born April 24, 1936 in Okema, Oklahoma.

He attended Okema High School and from there he went to work in the oilfields where he met his wife to be, Kay Yvonne Davis in Hominy, Oklahoma. They were married in Clayton, NM in 1954. Don worked for Service Drilling Co for 19 years before opening his own business in 1974 in Liberal, KS.

They both retired to Taos, NM in 1996 and then moved to Catoosa, OK to be closer to family. Don was preceded in death by parents: Ira and Pauline Skinnner, and his sister, Mary, and his son Gary Skinner. Don is survived by his wife, Kay Skinner of Catoosa; one son: Ronnie Skinner of Liberal, KS; one daughter: Donna Hopkins of Shawnee, OK; one brother: Randy Skinner of Talequah, OK; and one daughter-in-law: Brenda Skinner; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces; nephews; step-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
