Donald “Smurf” Murphy, 38, of Sciotoville, died Thursday, December 27, 2018, in the SOMC Hospital emergency room from an apparent pulmonary embolism. Donny’s family was by his bedside. Born on October 2, 1980 in Cincinnati, Smurf was a son of Danny Ray and Lou Ann Reeder Murphy of Sciotoville and was a self-employed tattoo artist.

Also surviving are two sisters, Sarah (Leo) Porter of Sciotoville and Christine (Dustin) Campbell of Grayson, KY; and nephew and nieces, Roger “Diddle”, Andrea and Niya. A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 31st at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Paula Ott officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.

The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to SOMC Hospice.
