Donald’s Obituary Donald William Scott, 67, of Cedar Creek passed away at home on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Donald was born in Austin, TX on November 5, 1951 to Donald William Scott, Sr. and Pauline (Zerr) Scott. He enjoyed living out in the country and loved the peacefulness it brought.

After losing his father at the age of 12, Donald stepped up to the plate as the oldest of three siblings and went to work to help out their family. He had numerous jobs, which included being a test driver for race cars and a systems operator for CPSB the City Public Service Board. Since retiring Donald substitute taught with Del Valle ISD, Bastrop ISD and Smithville ISD.

During his tenure at CPSB, he met a woman by the name of Carolyn Loehr over the phone. They planned their own blind date and two months later, on June 20th, 1992, they were married at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings. Donald was a lover of anything outdoors – fishing, hunting, camping, sports collector, you name it.

These interests transferred to his son, Trenton, along with the love of sci-fi films. He was also an avid reader, movie goer, card player, and loved a good game of dominos. In his down time, Donald was a referee for many high school sports and was an amazing cook.

His chili, enchiladas, and chicken barbeque should be in cook books. Most of all, Donald cared for his family and loved them dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Aunt Isabel Wall, and Uncle Tom Wall.

Donald is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; son, Trenton; his Cousins; and his grand dog, German Sheppard-Black Mouth Cur mix, Susie. Burial will be private and held at a later time.
