Obituary for Donna Craner Haycock Donna Craner Haycock, age 84, of Grants Pass, died August 28, 2018 at her home. Donna was born September 25, 1933 in Burley, Idaho to Arthur & Oralie (Ballard) Craner in the Craner family home built in 1911. She grew up, attended schools and graduated from high school in 1951 all in Burley.

She attended Ricks College from 1951 to 1953 and Brigham Young University from 1953 to 1956 when she graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. During her college years she enjoyed being active in choral groups at both schools. For 2 ½ years she worked as a censor at the genealogy society in Salt Lake City.

In 1959 she moved to San Francisco where she worked for American Automobile Association Insurance Company as a file clerk for seven years before changing jobs to work at Northwestern Mutual Insurance first as a file supervisor and later in insurance rating. In 1969 Donna returned to Salt Lake City to the genealogy society in the match merge department. On November 10, 1973 she married William Max Haycock.

On October 26, 1974 their daughter, Deborah Ann was born. Donna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in numerous church positions over the years. She was also an active member of Daughter of the Utah Pioneers since 1982.

Her hobbies included cooking, singing, arts and crafts, and Hardanger embroidery. She also enjoyed many cruises over the years traveling to many places around the world. Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Ann Haycock of Grants Pass.

A viewing will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Savage Street. A funeral service will begin at 12 Noon, Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Savage Street. Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
