OBITUARY Donna Jean Windsor Smith February 12, 1933 – September 25, 2018 Donna Jean Windsor Smith, 85, of Frostproof, Florida, died Tuesday, September 25, 2018, from complications of a stroke in Lake Placid, Florida. She moved to Frostproof from Bradenton, Florida, two and a half years ago to live with her niece. Mrs. Smith was born February 12, 1933, in Winter Haven, Florida, the daughter of Ernest Bert Windsor and Ella Mae Lowe.

She was a member of the Lake Wales High School Class of 1951, and a proud member of the Highlander Marching Band. She married Edward Bryan Smith and they lived in Bradenton for over 30 years. She retired from GTE after 32 and a half years of service and was a member of the Sunshine Chapter Independent Telephone Pioneers of America and Faith Baptist Church of Sarasota.

Hobbies included photography, script writing, greeting cards, baking cookies, praying and spending time with friends and family. Mrs. Smith is survived by one stepson, Roger Smith of Parrish, Florida, three granddaughters; Katelyn Smith of Parrish, Athena Nicole Smith with great grandchildren Steven Amato, Demond Williams and Demya Smith-Sams all of Bradenton and granddaughter; Sarah Eleff with great grandchildren Madeline and Ethan Morris all of Lutz, Florida. Nephews; Charles M. (Skip) Hunt and Louis F. Fleckenstein, Jr. of Frankfort, Kentucky and Lake Wales, Florida respectively.

Also one niece Amy H. Polk of Frostproof, Florida, and daughter-in-law Terri Fisher Olsen of Lake Wales, her children Jessica Byrd of Lakeland and Bonita Medlim of Frostproof, Florida, Jessica’s children; Jeremiah Jacob Fisher and Brooklynn Rose Byrd, Bonita’s children; Brooklin Nicole Gibbs, Ebonie Moran, Dylin Medlin and Matteo Morals and two great-great grandchildren Millie Moran and Celia Gibbs. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Bryan Smith, her son, Malcolm Fisher, her stepchildren Cathy and Jackie Smith, sisters; Eleanor Fleckenstein, Rosaline Wood, and her parents. Viewing, services and interment will be at and Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park in Sarasota, Florida on Saturday, October 6th.

Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the service following at 11:00. In lieu of flowers family requests donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland.
