Donna Jo Lydy, age 63, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 25, 2019, at the Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash, Ohio. She was born September 21, 1955 in La Harpe, Illinois to Lowell and Marcia (Kern) Blythe. She was a graduate of Truman, formerly Northeast Missouri, State University with a degree in early childhood education.

Jo gave a great number of years selflessly raising her three children, and finding countless volunteer opportunities through the Loveland schools and her church. She had a gift of loving and caring for others well which was seen through the deep and lasting relationships she had with family and friends. It was her greatest joy in life to serve and support others by putting their needs before her own.

Jo truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; playing with her grandchildren, flower gardening, hosting family and friends for a large meal or celebration, baking and playing sudoku. She is survived by her children: Justin (Nikki) Lydy, Amy (Jason) Harper, and Kevin Lydy; three grandchildren: Hudson, Oliver, and Challie Harper; sisters: Linda (Max) Comstock, Julie (Rick) Jarvis; brothers: Gary (Cheryl) Blythe, Robert (Paula) Blythe, many nieces and nephews, and former husband Steven Lydy. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Brian Blythe.

Friends and family are invited to the Loveland Presbyterian Church, 360 Robin Avenue, Loveland, Ohio, 45140 at 11 am on Saturday, March 9, 2019. Burial will take place at a later date in the La Harpe, Illinois cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Loveland Presbyterian Church or an organization of the donor’s choice.
