Donna June Korte, 76, of Reinbeck, died on February 28, 2019, at Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, March 7, from 5 to 7:30 PM at Abels Funeral And Cremation Service, French-Hand Chapel in Reinbeck. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 8, at 10:30 AM at Abels Funeral And Cremation Service, French-Hand Chapel in Reinbeck.

Inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family to be donated to a cause of their choosing at a later date. Abels Funeral And Cremation Service, French-Hand Chapel is taking care of Donna and her family.

Online condolences may be made at www. abelsfuneralhomes.com Donna June Korte was born on April 14, 1942, in Reinbeck to her parents Donald and June (Lapham) Rhoades. She attended Reinbeck High School graduating with the class of 1960.

After graduating, Donna attended the Gates Business College in Waterloo and obtained her associates degree. After graduation, Donna worked in Washington D.C. for three years as an aid to Adam Clayton Powell. She later moved back to Reinbeck and worked for Standard Oil in their sampling lab and then the Reinbeck Courier.

She was united in marriage to Allen Joseph Korte on April 15, 1967, at Blessing Church in Reinbeck. Donna and Allen had two sons Jason and Gary. She worked for GMAC in Waterloo before working for Lincoln Savings Bank in Reinbeck as a loan processor.

Donna enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. She was very outgoing and enjoyed shopping, dancing, listening to music, and partying. Donna will be remembered for her memorable laugh.

She was a member of the “y Girlfriends”. Donna is survived by her loving husband Allen of Reinbeck; sons Jason (Sherri) Korte of Urbandale and Gary (Angela) Korte of Kansas City; grandchildren Jordan (Harrison) Webb of Ankeny, Alexis Korte of Plato, MN, Hailey, Sydney, Kaci Clevenger of Urbandale; great grandson Hayden Webb; brothers Allan (Linda) Rhoades, Steven (Elaine) Rhoades, and Rick (Shelly) Rhoads; sister Linda Sue (Max) McCoy.
