OBITUARY Donna Kurit February 10, 1947 – October 9, 2018 beloved wife of the late Neil Kurit. Loving mother of Jordan B. Kurit and Blair Kurit. Cherished sister of Dennis (Ruma Banerjee) Chernin.
Adored companion of Billy Proper and step daughter of Jackie Chernin. Devoted daughter of the late Berneice Chernin and the late Jack Chernin. Donna was a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School and received her Bachelor’s degree from University of Michigan and her Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin.
She was the film and entertainment writer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer for 23 years. Donna was an world traveler and an amazing friend and confidant to many. Services will be held Sunday, October 14 at 2 PM at the ANSHE CHESED FAIRMOUNT TEMPLE 23737 Fairmount Blvd.
Beachwood, OH. Interment Lake View Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the residence, 2870 Courtland Blvd.
Shaker Heights, OH SUNDAY FOLLOWING SERVICES UNTIL 8 PM. MONDAY AND TUESDAY EVENING 7 PM-9 PM. Friends who wish may contribute to the Taussig Cancer Center c/o The Cleveland Clinic Foundation or the Cleveland Jewish Film Fest c/o the Mandel Jewish Community Center .
