Obituary of Donna Williams Donna Cowart Williams, age 92, passed away on February 12, 2019 at Hampton Manor Assisted Living. Donna was born in Fairbault, Minnesota on October 18, 1926 and moved to Florida in 1945. Husband and father of her children, William T. Cowart Jr., passed in 1963, leaving her a young widow with four children.

She became a bookkeeper at Holiday Inn, Silver Springs. In the early 70’s she married John Williams, who passed in 2011. They enjoyed many years in McIntosh and then their home on Lake Kerr in Salt Springs.

Donna was very involved in VFW Post 4209 and as a life member she served many positions but her favorite was District 7 President, Ladies Auxiliary. She received her 60 year membership pin in 2018. Member of The Eastern Star and longtime member St. Marks Methodist Church, Ocala.

She was an avid supporter of Veterans and recently coordinated a Wall of Honor at Hampton Manor. Survived by her children: William T. Cowart III; Stephen M. Cowart (Bea); Henry G. Cowart (Brenda); Michele C. Seel (Greg); Affectionately known as Nana to 11 Grandchildren and14 Great Grandchildren; 2 very special sister in-laws, Jane Smith and Linda Cowart. Many friends and family.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 17, @ 1:00 PM, Hiers Funeral Home, Silver Springs Blvd. Visitation will be Saturday, February 16, 6:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Marion County, PO Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478-4860 in remembrance of Donna.
