He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Lonnie Hodgin. Donnie is survived by his son, Bob Hodgin (Ken McRae) of Bisbee, Arizona; step-sons, Chad Lawrence (John Molina) of Arlington, Christopher Lawrence of Hughes Springs, Collin Lawrence of Hughes Springs; and grandchildren, Odessa Hodgin, Sakari Hodgin, Samuel McRae, Damon McRae, Ava Hodgin, Lacie Lawrence, Addyson Lawrence, Julia Lawrence, and Dakota Lawrence.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.
