OBITUARY Dora Tokumoto June 4, 1943 – December 12, 2018 Dora joined her Heavenly Father, embracing peace following a lengthy illness. Born in Donna, TX to Albert and Enriquetta (nee Rios) Rutledge, she grew up in Sanger, CA. Dora graduated Sanger High School, class of 1962.

Married to Ernest Redondo on June 17, 1967; they had three children Katie, Melinda and Paul. When the family moved to San Jose, Dora began her stellar career rising to Director of the Section 8 Program at the Santa Clara County Housing Authority. To be closer to home and extended family, Dora and her children moved to Fresno in 1989.

She transferred to the Housing Authority of the City and County of Fresno as an Area Housing Manager. Too soon, she was compelled to early retirement due to health concerns. In 1996, Dora and William “Bill” Tokumoto eloped in Lake Tahoe, NV.

They built their home in Fresno and shared 22 years filled with much laughter and joy. Dora and Bill also enjoyed travel, including vacations at their home-away-from-home in Volcano, HI, as well as trips to their favorite local casinos. Dora was very lucky.

She always seemed to win! Dora is survived by her husband Bill; daughter Katie (Steve) Morris and beloved granddaughter Juliann of Orange, CA; son Paul Redondo of Guangzhou, China; siblings Donna Reyes, Andy Rutledge, Gloria (Tom) Newton, Robert (Rosie) Rutledge, Mary (Ron) Valles, and many dear nieces and nephews; stepchildren Lani (Phil) Manning, Brian (Deborah) Tokumoto, Gayle Tokumoto (Sean Brennan), Anna Tokumoto (Steve Fruhwirth), and stepgrandchildren Melissa, Josh, Sean and Zander. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Melinda Redondo; brother, Hollis Rutledge; sister, Janie Wiebert; sister-in-law, Rachel Rutledge and brother-in-law, Ismael Reyes.
