Dorene (Thomas) Miller Dorene (Thomas) Miller, 57 years old, passed away December 8, 2018 at her home in Columbus, Georgia. Dorene, daughter of Jack and Marlene Thomas was born in Chillicothe, Missouri on February 17, 1961. Her father preceded her in death in 1995.

She graduated from Newtown-Harris High School in 1979. She worked in the Recorder’s office and later in the Circuit Court office in Milan. She was married to Ronnie Smith, and later married Geoff Miller, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her companion, Marty Knapp of Columbus, Georgia, her two sons, Brad Smith and wife, Jenny of Harris, and Brett Smith and wife, Sheena of Milan, and four grandsons, Ryan, Jackson, Kasen, and Kreid Smith; her mother, Marlene Thomas of Columbia, Mo; and two brothers, Chris Thomas and wife Louise of Silverthorne, Colorado and Tim Thomas and wife, Kelli, and their three children, Hannah, Meghan, and Cooper of Columbia. She was the granddaughter of Frank and Dorothy Thomas and Ralph and Leona Willis, all who preceded her in death. A Memorial Gathering Celebrating the Life of Dorene will be held 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Monday, December 17, 2018 at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan.

Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Judson Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Judson Cemetery.
