OBITUARY Dorie E. (nee: Meyer) Shepersky November 12, 1929 – December 11, 2018 Age 89, of Woodbury, MN, passed to the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on December 11, 2018. Dorie was born in Huron, SD, to Edward and Elsie Meyer in Cavour, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Clarence.

She is survived by husband, Dean; four daughters: Judith Stocker (Alan) Santa Monica, CA; Deborah Bronk (John), Stillwater, MN; Linda Millington, Mahtomedi, MN; Patricia Hegarty (Chris), Westford, MA; eight grandchildren: Adam and Eric Stocker; Angela Firnstahl (David); Nathan Bronk; Ryan Millington; Michelle O’Donnell, David and Megan Hegarty ; two great-grandchildren: Charlotte and Henry Firnstahl; sister, Belva Blue; and brother, Ray Meyer. She graduated valedictorian from Cavour High School, Cavour, SD, attended South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD; received RN diploma from St. John’s School of Nursing, Huron, SD, and at age 50 earned a B.A. from Metropolitan State University, St. Paul, MN. Nursing history includes St. John’s Hospital in Huron, SD; Fairview Southdale Hospital, Edina, MN; Oxboro Clinic, Bloomington, MN; Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park, MN, retiring at age 65.

Dorie married A. Dean Shepersky in 1951 in Huron, SD, and over the years have resided in Huron, SD, Bloomington and Woodbury, MN. Dean and Dorie traveled extensively and have visited about 50 different countries. She has been an active member of PEO Sisterhood for over 50 years, member of Woodbury United Methodist Church, and active in military, community, church events, Bible Study Fellowship and volunteered at Woodwinds Hospital.

Dorie was the joy and treasure of Dean’s life. Her walk with the Lord was a blessing and expression of love to her family and all the lives she touched. Memorial service will be at 11:00 am at The Grove United Methodist Church (7465 Steepleview Rd.

, Woodbury), Saturday, December 22, 2018. Greet the family from 10:00- 11:00am. Private inurnment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
