OBITUARY Doris Hightower June 18, 1931 – September 28, 2018 Play Tribute Movie HIGHTOWER, Doris B., age 87, of Temple Terrace passed away on September 28, 2018. She was born in Foxwells, VA. , but Florida has been her home since 1971.

She is survived by her children, Terri Erickson (Kevin), Vicki Grissett, and Sandy Owen (Bill); grandchildren, Michael, Emily, Amanda, Cody, Landon, Jared, and Jamie Lee; great grandchildren, Davey, Emma, Ezra, and Oliver. Words cannot describe what a wonderful mom “Memaw” and role model she was. She embraced life and would easily share the love of Christ which was her inner strength.

She loved the sun and trips to the beach, as it was never too hot outside for her. She loved to dance and meet new people, and was an inspiration to many. Though we all know she’s in heaven smiling down on us, there will be an empty space in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 – 8 pm at Blount & Curry Terrace Oaks Chapel. Funeral Service Tuesday Oct. 2, 2018 11:00 at Mission Hill Church, 10002 N. 56th St., Temple Terrace, Florida 33617 Burial at Garden of Memories, Tampa.
