Obituary for Doris J Wenske Doris J. Wenske (nee Schriver) Of North Tonawanda, December 19, 2018 Beloved wife of the late Franklin A. Wenske; cherished mother of Debra J. Whais; loving grandma of Mark M. Ellis and Shannon A. Ellis; dearest sister of Carol J. (Larry) Gerber, the late Louis A. (Joan) Schriver and late Beverly A. (Joe) Sionko; daughter of the late Louis E. and Edna C. (nee Golem) Schriver; also survived by nieces and nephews. Doris was a lifelong member of Salem United Church of Christ, including 20 years as a Sunday School Teacher and served on the Church Council Board of Programs for many years. Received the Network of Religious Communities award for outstanding service to the Salem Congregation & larger community.

Worked over 20 years as Secretary to the Principal at both Gilmore and Spruce Elementary Schools in North Tonawanda. Volunteered at DeGraff Hospital in the gift shop for many years and was a former Girl Scout Leader. Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family, burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park.
