Doris L Jones, August 31, 1946 — February 11, 2019

Doris L Jones was born November 29, 1924 to Frank Seibert and Mamie Robinson Seibert of Salem County, NJ. She graduated from Woodstown High School. She was married August 31, 1946 to Theodore F. Jones Jr., a decorated World War II Veteran, who preceded her in death in 2006.

Doris Jones passed away peacefully on February 11, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by parents, sister Gladys and brother Franklin and son-in-law Donald Wear. She is survived by daughter Janis Wear, son Gary Jones and wife Karen, brothers Horace Seibert and Wilson Seibert, grandchildren Christopher Wear and Julia Jones, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Doris will be remembered as the matriarch of the family. Doris was a loving and giving person who always put family first. She enjoyed her Sunday dinner outings with her friends, playing games in the living room with her family and sharing in outrageous laughter, but nothing ever quite compared to the way Doris loved Ted.

Whether it was reminiscing on their many travels together, the family camping trips, or just their daily walks, Doris’s eyes would light up at any mention of her dear husband. For eighteen years, Doris worked as a bookkeeper at General Floor Covering. This was fitting due to her love for numbers.

Doris ensured there was never a dull moment in conversation. At home she enjoyed sitting on her porch and her favorite lunch of cottage cheese and peaches. She will always be loved and missed by everyone who had the glad opportunity to know her.

A funeral service will be held this Friday, February 15th at the Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad St., Woodstown, NJ 08098. The visitation will start at 10 AM with the service following at 11 AM. The interment will take place afterwards at Lawnside Cemetery.
